We Are Experts in boat flooring and refitting your vessel

We Specialize in Teak Decks for Yachts

Teak Marine USA has highly-trained craftsmen who are skilled in Fort Lauderdale teak boat flooring as well as custom teak cabinetry and furniture. We have serviced yachts here in South Florida and around the world. Teak decking is known for its color and appearance. Its rich golden to medium brown color darkens with age. Plus, it has a slight oily feel to it because of the natural oils it contains. Even though it has natural oils, teak flooring glues and finishes well. And as a bonus, teak decks can have a leather-like scent when freshly milled.

We Offer Low-cost Composite Decks and Floors

Teak Marine USA is an exclusively licensed representative of DEK-KING Synthetic Teak Marine Decking, an affordable, eco-friendly alternative to traditional teak flooring.

We Repair and Refurbish Teak Flooring and Furniture

Teak Marine USA are specialists in restoring, repairing, protecting and maintaining your teak decks or furniture. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for decks to prematurely age or weather over time due to poor maintenance. We can help you rejuvenate your teak flooring back to its original luster and help train your staff how to maintain it properly.

We Are Always Open

With more than 25 years of experience in boat carpentry and woodwork, Teak Marine USA offers 24/7 service. Our Fort Lauderdale teak decking services can solve any boat flooring problem. Where does your teak come from?

Burmese teak (from Burma, Southeast Asia) is the most prized for its color and oil content, but sanctions have made it scarce and expensive. We mainly use Ecuadorian teak grown from Burmese seeds, and sometimes source from a major importer that includes Burmese and Indian teak.

How much does teak cost?

Teak wood prices can vary significantly, depending on specific characteristics, such as origin grade, quality, and thickness. ‘Burmese teak 1st FEQ’ demands the highest price and can therefore prove quite expensive. TMUSA will come to your vessel to assess your requirements in order to provide a free estimate.

How long does it take to install a deck on an average yacht?

This very much depends upon the size and complexity of the deck. Commonly, installation can take anywhere from a few days to 2 – 4 weeks. Needless to say, this can be longer if we have to remove the original teak and fair the deck.

How do I maintain the new deck look?

In order to maintain the natural look of your new teak deck, we would recommend sealing the deck with a high-quality teak sealer such as Ditec Triton 2.0 or Lat 26 Teak Sealer.

How do I clean my Teak Deck?

It should be noted that cleaning your teak decks properly prevents damage. We recommend scrubbing the teak with a soft scrubbing brush or deck pad, working across the grain, using a non-abrasive deck cleaner or household product such as Tide Crystals with warm to hot water. Be sure to rinse the deck thoroughly after scrubbing.

Can Old and weathered teak be restored?

An older, weathered teak deck can most certainly be restored. Depending on the thickness of the teak, the deck can be sanded to restore it to its original golden color. We would thereafter recommend sealing the deck with a quality teak sealer. For heavily weathered or thin decks, a more creative approach may be required. In instances where the teak is on the thin side, we recommend light sanding, followed by scrubbing the decks with a reliable, effective teak cleaner. Once completed, we would once again recommend applying a teak sealer. Please note, we do not recommend sanding the decks more than once every two years. We do not recommend using an aggressive teak cleaner unless absolutely necessary.

Are there alternatives to teak decks?

Teak Marine USA offers Dek-King composite deck flooring, which is an exciting and affordable alternative to traditional teak decks. It is easy to maintain, does not fade and is 100% recyclable. Available in 9 realistically grained color combinations and incorporating state-of-the-art nanotechnology, Dek-King 2G offers you the future of decking, today, and provides you with a deck that matches your requirements.
